Over 250 companies, including manufacturers, providers of equipment and services for energy industry from 10 countries, participated in the 22nd International Specialized Exhibition Energetika & Elektrotechnika which was successfully held from May 19 to May 22 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. For four days, they presented innovative energy equipment, as well as the latest measuring systems and software for collection, processing, comprehensive analysis, storage and transfer of data, turnkey solutions for a range of manufacturing industries, transport, construction and housing, and public utilities.
The exposition was traditionally visited by officials and directors of the leading industrial enterprises, including Alexey Kulapin, Director of the State Energy Policy Department of the RF Ministry of Energy, Denis Fedorov, General Director of Gazprom Energoholding, Denis Bashuk, General Director of OGK-2, etc. Welcoming the participants and guests of the project, the officials noted that the exhibition is an important industry event that shows innovative developments and advanced technologies of the largest industry enterprises from Russia and other countries. The special exposition of Gazprom Energoholding, devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, also drew attention of specialists and guests present at the event. The central place on the stand was occupied by a large screen created of red carnations that showed military memorials.
Despite the sanctions, Energetika & Electrotekhnika was and remains an international project! Over 18% of exposition participants are representatives of foreign countries: Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, China, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine and Czech Republic.
It is pleasant to note that this was the year of the first large-scale exposition of Indian electrotechnical companies (India's united stand was organised by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, ASSOCHAM) whose participants not only presented the products of their companies but also took an active part in the Matchmaking program, with ASHIDA Electronics Pvt Ltd among others.
Over the past ten years, Czech companies have been participants of the Energetika & Elektrotechnika Exhibition, and 2015 was no exception. As part of the event, the national stand of the Czech Republic, organised with participation of CzechTrade (Czech Trade Promotion Agency) presented the leading industrial companies: HAIDY a.s., KPB INTRA s.r.o., NANO Solution s.r.o., TENEOs.r.o., TVD –Technickávýroba a.s., ZEZSILKO s.r.o, and others.
During four days of the exhibition, over 150 business meetings were held in the Matchmaking Centre between representatives of energy and generating companies and manufacturers from Russia, India, Poland, Slovenia, Finland, Estonia, South Korea.
Import substitution in FEC became one of the key subjects of the 3rd Russian International Energy Forum (RIEF) that traditionally accompanies the exhibition. According to specialists, in just two years the Forum acquired the reputation of the platform for establishing partner relations.
At the Forum opening, Alexey Kulapin, Director of the State Energy Policy Department of the RF Ministry of Energy, mentioned that the fuel and energy complex is a budget-forming industry for the moment and forms 53% of income to the Russian budget, "In this aspect, the Forum is a place for effective discussion of the most relevant energy problems".
32 business events were held during four days of the exhibition: conferences, round-table discussions, business meetings, seminars and presentations of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of electrical energy equipment, attended by over 150 leading experts of the industry. The key event of the Forum was the plenary session "Energy System of Russia under Modern Conditions - Time for New Decisions", where the specialists discussed development and implementation of the Russian innovation equipment, and also addressed the issue of non-payments. In particular, Denis Fedorov, General Director of Gazprom Energoholding, emphasised that arrears for electricity, gas and heating are increasing every year and this is the problem that should be treated first. "It is affecting distributors and networks, and they will be followed by generating companies and the companies that supply fuel," he said.
As part of the conference "Present-Day State and Prospects of Generating Capacities Development in Russia", Denis Bashuk, General Director of OGK-2, emphasised that the main expected innovation is determination of where the generating capacities will be located. "Simpler on the one hand, but very complicated technological things will occur at this background, including transition from gas to steam gas technologies, installation of steam turbines with different characteristics," the speaker noted.
Besides, in the course of RIEF, the leading companies of Saint Petersburg signed an agreement on forming a cluster in the field of resources saving and energy efficiency in the Northern capital. The flagship of the cluster creation was Positron company, and the first participants include Svetlana-Optoelektronika CJSC, AMIRA JV CJSC, Unified Information and Computer Centre of Leningrad Region OJSC, SPbGBU "Energy Saving Centre", "Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Increase Centre of Leningrad Region", Termotronik CJSC, and the others. The cluster companies represent complex solutions in the sphere of energy efficiency on the market of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region, with the economy possibly reaching up to 40% of the funds paid for consumed resources following the implementation. According to Zakhar Kondrashov, Executive Director of Positron OJSC, it is a complex approach to resources saving that will give the maximum effect during reconstruction of buildings and design and construction of new housing. "It is for these purposes that the innovative and technological cluster has been created, aimed at development of energy services market and reduction of energy consumption in public utilities sphere and industry, as well as development of national production of energy saving products," he said.
The next Energetika & Elektrotechnika exhibition will be held in May 2016.
